NORWICH — The Guernsey Memorial Library, located at 3 Court Street in Norwich, will be hosting three free adult craft workshops throughout the month of March.

On Monday, March 10 at 6 p.m. in the Meeting Room, visitors can learn how to make a crocheted wrist lanyard from Guernsey Memorial Library Accountant Julia Whitney.

"The wrist lanyard will be very basic crochet and the project will be completed that day during the class," said Guernsey Memorial Library Director Connie Dalrymple.

Next, on Thursday, March 27 at 6 p.m. in the Meeting Room will be a rock painting workshop taught by Library Clerk Amanda Mills. Participants will paint rocks to look like cactuses as well as a pot to put them in.

Lastly will be the second installment of the paper bead bracelet workshop on Sunday, March 30 at 6 p.m. in the Meeting Room, taught by Greene resident Marie Eden. This workshop is open to individuals who attended the first installment in January.

"The paper beads project was rescheduled from February, when it was cancelled due to the weather. The group already met in January to make the beads and in the upcoming class they will be putting the beads together to make a bracelet," Dalrymple explained.

Dalrymple said Guernsey usually holds two free adult craft workshops per month, which range from things like crocheted items to diamond painting to candles and more.
