Chenango Youth Philanthropy Program For Spring 2025 Seeking Request For Proposals
Published: March 20th, 2025

NORWICH - The Chenango Youth Philanthropy Council (CYPC) is a student led foundation comprised of 46 High School level students from the Norwich, Sherburne-Earlville and Unadilla Valley Schools. Throughout the school year, students have participated in workshops and seminars related to non-profit organizations, foundations and grant-making. The money granted by the council is provided by several local foundations and fundraising efforts of the current council members.

The Chenango Youth Philanthropy Council seeks proposals from non-profits that will demonstrate a measurable impact.

Proposals should reflect a careful rationale for the project and be able to demonstrate measurable results in a year-end review, which will take place in October 2025. While the exact amount the Council will have to distribute is undetermined at this time, Grant applications will be accepted for up to $5,000, (additional monies raised through each Council’s fundraiser will be added to this total before determining how much the final grantees will receive). Partial funding may be awarded.

The 2025 application is available at The Place, located at 22 East Main Street, Norwich, NY, by e-mail at youthservices@theplacenorwich.com, or on The Place website at www.theplacenorwich.com.

Applications are due Thursday, April 17, 2025 by noon. (Early submission deadline is Thursday, April 10, 2025 by noon). If you have any questions about the application process, please contact Anna M. Natoli at (607) 336-9696 ext. 106.
