NEW BERLIN — The Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts will be having an opening reception for the 12th annual Made in Paint gallery exhibition from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 in the Sam and Adele Golden Gallery at Golden Artist Colors, located at 188 Bell Road in New Berlin.
The reception is free and open to the public, and will include a variety of artwork as well as live music by an acoustic trio, sushi, beer from Hidden Springs Brewery, wine, and charcuterie boards from Jewett's Cheese Shop.
Additionally, this year's color theme for the show is beige. Attendees are encouraged to participate with the theme by including clothing elements that are beige or tan in color, or by styling an entire outfit in the color.
Curated and directed by Jim Walsh, the exhibition highlights artwork by artists who have participated in the foundation's residency program in 2024. This year's artists include Massiel Mafes, Jordan Craig, Jessica Lincoln, Preetika Rajgariah, Amra Fatima Khan, David Najib Kasir, Hans Gindlesberger, Kirk Maynard, Henry Morales, Ernest Shaw, JD Raenbeau, Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz, Inez de Brauw, Omar Rodriguez-Graham, Regina Jestrow, Anna Ortiz, Lilian Martinez and Antonius-Tin Bui.
