WINDSOR - On March 19, 2025, at approximately 12:48 p.m., New York State Police at Deposit with the assistance of the Broome County Sheriff’s Department responded to the report of possible human remains that were located behind the Windsor school bus garage on Main Street in the Town of Windsor.

According to police, an investigation has determined that the deceased individual is Edward L. Crampton, age 68. No foul play is suspected in his death.

Crampton was reported missing in January after his family had not seen him since Thanksgiving time.
