NORWICH — The Norwich Theater Company, Inc. (NTCI) will be performing "Terms of Endearment" on Friday, March 28 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 29 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m. at the Chenango Arts Council, located at 27 West Main Street in Norwich.
"Many people fondly remember the movie 'Terms of Endearment' from 1983. It tells the story of Emma, who is often exasperated by her overbearing mother Aurora. They talk every day about their problems, from Aurora finding unexpected love even as she becomes a reluctant grandmother, to Emma's struggles in her troubled marriage," said Director Donna Given. "This sometimes funny, and always touching, story captures the delicate, sometimes fractured bonds between mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, and lovers, both old and new."
Tickets are on sale at NorwichTheaterCompany.org, C.S. Miller Books, Service Pharmacy, and the Chenango Arts Council, or by calling 607-244-3852.
Due to mature themes and adult language, parental discretion is advised for audience members under the age of 14.
The show marks the directorial debut of Donna Given, who has been a part of NTCI since 2013. She and her husband first got involved by auditioning for NTCI's production of "A Christmas Carol," and have been involved as performers and crew members ever since.
