OXFORD – On Friday, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team traveled to Oxford for a local MAC non-league matchup. B-G came away with a big 13-3 win to improve to 3-1 on the season.
The Bobcats got on the board first with four runs and only extended its lead by scoring at least one run in every inning.
B-G’s big first inning started off with Parker Buttice drawing a lead-off walk before Kaiden Seymour’s infield single. Both came in to score off Connor Davy’s two-run triple to left field.
Timmy Kinter drew a walk as Brayden Swartwout reached on an error and Davy was caught stealing home by Oxford’s Landen Olinski, who has made a few plays already on the season.
With two outs, Anthony Cafasso drove in two runs with a double to right field before Oxford’s Conner Dunagan got the final out with a strikeout.
