NORWICH — Aunt Mary's House (AMH) invites all to their second annual Mother's Day Brunch Fundraiser; Hopeful Hearts, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 10, at the Canasawacta Country Club, located at 261 County Road 44, in Norwich.
The fundraiser will support the AMH non-profit organization that provides emergency and transitional shelter to homeless pregnant and parenting young mothers 18 + and their babies from pre-born to two years old.
“We want to make sure our focus is on moms and babies, in reverence of Mother’s Day and bringing the community out to support our program,” said AMH Executive Director Brenda White. “It will be family friendly and family oriented but moms get that special treat too.”
“We want everyone to have a good time,” White said.
White said that using Canasawacta Country Club for the fundraiser this year will allow for a larger crowd. Tickets are $35 with seating available up to 300 guests. To purchase a ticket, email Brenda White at executivedirector@auntmaryshouse.net. or call 607-238-3392.
She said arrival times can vary anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. as the buffet will stretch from breakfast to lunch and will include pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage. Lunch items will consist of sandwiches and chips and a variety of drinks and desserts donated by local restaurants and bakeries, along with the Country Club desserts.
