UNATEGO – On Thursday, April 17, the Unadilla Valley/GMU track and field teams competed at a local dual meet at Unatego, featuring the hometown Spartans, Walton, and Sidney. The Walton boys took the victory with UV in second, Unatego third, and Sidney in fourth. The Storm girls came away with the win with Sidney in second, Walton third, and Unatego in fourth.

Girls:

The UV girls earned all three relay victories (4x100, 4x400, and 4x800) before individuals shined in their respective events.

Senior Gracie Gorrell took the victories in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes. She sprinted 13.50 seconds in the 100 and completed the 200 in 27.70 seconds.

MacKenzie Lindholm came in third (13.70) and Sophia Bell (PR 14.40) came in fourth for the 100. Lindholm also took third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.30 seconds.

Bell earned the victory in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19 seconds with Avery Hill in fifth with a time of 21.80 seconds.

Molly Gorrell, Natalya Schrag, and Addison Marinelli all followed each other respectively with Gorrell in first, Schrag second, and Marinelli third in the 800 meter run. Gorrell ran the event in 2:45.30. Schrag came in second with a time of 2:50.60 as Marinelli ran it in 2:54.40.
