PLYMOUTH - A Plymouth resident was arrested April 19 after allegedly obstructing firefighters at the scene of a house fire, according to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff deputies arrested Andrew M. Harris, 47, after responding to assist fire personnel at a fully involved house fire in the Town of Plymouth.
Authorities said Harris refused to allow fire crews to extinguish the fire, became aggressive toward emergency personnel, and failed to obey lawful orders.
During the investigation, deputies also determined that Harris was involved in a separate domestic incident the previous night.
Harris was charged with obstructing firefighting operations, reckless endangerment of property, reckless endangerment in the first degree, and unlawful imprisonment in the second degree. He was held for centralized arraignment and released on his own recognizance.
All charges are allegations, and defendant's are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
