SIDNEY – Chenango County was well-represented at Sidney’s Doug Quinney Invite over the weekend. The Bainbridge-Guilford girls’ team finished seventh as Unadilla Valley came in 11th, Norwich in 12th, and Harpursville/Afton finished 17th. The B-G boys took second behind Oneonta, as Oxford-Greene finished sixth with Norwich in eighth place, UV tied for 13th with Newark Valley, and Harpursville/Afton tied for 21st with Franklin. Girls’ Track:
The B-G girls’ 4x100 meter relay team earned the top finish with a team of Kayla Patton, Madisyn Larsen, Elanor Sprow, Keelan Ammon, and Emily Sprow, running the fastest time of 53.62 seconds.
B-G’s Emily Sprow competed in the 100 meter hurdles, where she finished eighth with a time of 18.58 seconds. Keelan Ammon earned a team point with a sixth place finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.40 seconds.
Ammon and Madisyn Larsen both competed in the 200 meter dash, where Ammon finished sixth with a time of 27.23 seconds and Larsen in 11th (29.06 seconds).
Maddie Ingham took second in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:09.92, behind Chenango Forks’ leading 5:04.64. Lalaenia Baldwin finished 11th with a time of 5:40.01.
Ingham also ran the 800, where she came in third with a time of 2:29.10. Jalyn Winans finished 11th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:48.59. Ruth Wilson finished 15th in the 3000 meter run with a time of 14:39.13.
