UNADILLA – Laura M. Delaney, 83, of Unadilla, formerly of Mt. Upton, passed away early Wednesday morning, Feb. 6, 2008 at the Gilmour Nursing Facility in Norwich. 
Laura was born on Feb. 6, 1925, daughter of the late Bert and Nina (Davison) Pratt in Schenevus.  Laura was a graduate of Harpursville High School.  On February 10, 1946, she married James Delaney in Oquaga.  Laura was a longtime member of the Mt. Upton Methodist Church.
Laura is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, James J. Delaney of Unadilla; two sons and daughters-in-law: James E. and Gail Delaney of  Jacksonville, Fla. and Terry and Cindy Delaney of Mainesville, Ohio; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Cindy Brisack of Norwich, Colleen and Henry Hetzel of Guilford, Annette and Tim Wright of Oxford; her grandchildren: Travis, Josh, Erin, Bradley, Collin, Dedra, Haley, Tiffany, Marissa, Christie and Dillon; her great-grandchildren: Justin and Payton; two brothers: David and Marie Pratt of Ormond Beach, Fla. and Richard Pratt of Oxford; two half-sisters:  Jean VanValkenberg of Guilford and Nancy Williams of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
 Friends are invited to call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery. 
Memorial contributions in Laura’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
