OXFORD – Francis B. Kennedy, age 79, of the Personal Care Home, Towanda, Pa., formerly of Oxford, died March 1, 2008 at Towanda Memorial Hospital.
Francis was born March 14, 1928 in Osceola, Pa., the son of the late Raymond A. and Wilda Blackwell Kennedy. He was a graduate of Wellsboro High School, Class of 1945, and was a retired employee of Norwich Eaton Pharmaceutical, Norwich. Francis was a member of the Elks Lodge and American Legion, both of Norwich, and was an avid reader. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean conflict.
Surviving are Brothers and Sister-in-law, Mahlon and Teresa Kennedy, Wellsboro, and Paul Kennedy, Norwich; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at the Kennedyville Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
If desired, Memorials may be made in his memory to the Kennedyville Cemetery or Middle Ridge Methodist Church.
