NORWICH – Dr. Allan D. Converse, 64, passed away on April 21, 2008 at his home in Naples, Fla. He has been a resident of Naples for the last year and a half retiring from Norwich.
Allan graduated from Yale University class of 1965 and went on to Boston University Medical School. He practiced medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. for 20 years, 10 in Milwaukee, Wisc. and three in Norwich.
In Naples, Allan belonged to Naples United Church of Christ and volunteered at the Conservancy of south west Florida. Allan was an avid pilot and sailor. He also enjoyed playing and watching soccer.
Most importantly he was a devoted husband and father who loved spending time with his wife and two sons.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Barbara; sons Alex (Amy) and Denis; siblings Frank (Maureen) and Kitsie; many nieces and nephews and his faithful companions Sancho and Rainha.
Services will be held in Boston.
