OXFORD – Mary Robinson Friedlander, 94, formerly of Greene, passed away on April 27, 2008 at the New York State Veterans’ Home, Oxford.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1914 in South New Berlin the daughter of the late Rufus and Lena Robinson.
She is survived by her son, Robert Robinson Friedlander and his wife Susan Wagner Friedlander of Southbury, Conn.; her grandson, Robert Joseph Friedlander of Southbury, Conn.; two nieces, Ruth Robinson Wittorff and family of Red Bluff, CA, and Marcia Robinson Garner and family of Bluffton, S.C. and her nephew, John W. Robinson and family of South New Berlin.
Mrs. Friedlander taught in Greene Central School for many years. She was a former member of the Greene Historical Society, the Go-Won-Go Chapter of the DAR, the Central New York Genealogy Society, the First Congregational Church, UCC of Greene, the New York State Retired Teachers Association and the Greene Retired Teachers Assn.
Private funeral services were held at the Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 21 N. Chenango St., Greene on Sunday. Burial followed in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene Emergency Squad.
