NORWICH – A memorial service for the recently deceased Alan Shapiro will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 15 in the Guernsey Library meeting room.  Mr Shapiro was a former resident of Norwich and the son of the late Rabbi and Mrs. Shapiro of the Norwich Jewish Center. A graduate of both Junior and Senior High Schools in Norwich as well as the New York State University at Binghamton, his  Cantorial expertise at the Jewish Center’s services is still remembered by many.  Alan’s memorial service will be led by his sister, Claire Zundell-Cameron.  An invitation to attend the memorial is extended to the entire community of Norwich and surrounding areas.
