OXFORD – Irene R. (Kutzenko) Glowaski, 79, of Oxford, passed away July 1, 2008, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Springfield, Mass. on August 28, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Josephine (Dzweliski) Kutzenko. A graduate of Springfield Technical High School, she worked as a bookkeeper for many companies through her career and retired from Deer Valley Farms in Guilford.
Irene was the beloved wife of 56 years to Stanley Glowaski, loving mother to Brian Glowaski, Leslee Cartland, and Sean Glowaski. Cherished grandmother to Christopher Cartland, Alicia Cartland, and Kellie Cartland. Cherished great grandmother to Damien Cartland, Jazmine Frazier, Orianna Boodhan and Nicholas Boodhan. Sister of Dolores Kowalczyk of Agawam, Mass., and the late Barbara Serafino and Samuel Kutzenko.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Bartholomew’s Church at 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, with Rev. Douglas Cunningham officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Agawam, Mass.
The family has requested donations be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Chenango County, 21 Hayes St., Norwich, NY 13815.
