OXFORD – Elmer (Barney) Gere of Oxford passed away peacefully at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford on Thursday, July 3, 2008.
A memorial service for Barney will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Oxford. Burial with military honors will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
A complete obituary will be published in Monday’s Evening Sun.
The arrangements are entrusted to the Behe Funeral Home.
