SHERBURNE – Shawn A. Maxson, 20, of Steam Sawmill Hill Rd., died Saturday, July 5, 2008 as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born May 23, 1988 in Johnson City, a son of Jeffery A. and Lora A. Hughes Maxson and received his education in Sherburne schools. Shawn was a sales associate at Wal-Mart in Norwich. He enjoyed many sports including baseball, basketball, football, paintball and hunting. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and many friends.
Surviving are his girlfriend, Tiffany Hall of Sherburne; his parents, Jeffery and Lora Maxson of Sherburne; a brother, Justin J. Maxson of Sherburne; his grandparents, Fred and Evelyn Maxson of New Berlin; great-grandfather, Fred Tyler of Oneonta; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Shawn was predeceased by an infant sister, Kelly; his grandmother, Mrs. Henderson (Jennie) Hughes; and his great-grandmother, Leta Tyler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by burial in Sherburne West Hill Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
