NORWICH – George A. Bradley, 57, of Norwich passed away peacefully at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, surrounded by his family.
Born Dec. 10, 1950 in Hoosick Falls, George was the son of George and Ella (Bossee) Bradley George graduated from Hoosick Falls High School in 1968, and then joined the U.S. Army, serving in Germany. After his military service, George became a nurse’s aide at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady from 1969 to 1974. He then worked at the U.S. Navy Depot in Amsterdam, until moving to Norwich in 1979. From 1980 to 1990 he owned and operated Norwich Janitorial with his wife Catherine. In 1990 he joined Chenango Memorial Hospital, where he worked in maintenance until his health forced him to retire in 2005.
In 1979 in Guilderland, he married Catherine Allen, who survives. He is also survived by his daughters Colleen Bradley and Kim Bradley, and his sons George M. Bradley and Gene Bradley and his wife Colleen. Also surviving are his grandchildren Christopher, Tyler, Kayla and Chenelle, a very special friend, Carol Ricciuti.
George was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking.
In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.
There will be no formal funeral services. Friends are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at a later date in Columbus Comers Cemetery.
