NORWICH – Mary E. Eicke, 64, of Lisle, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at her home.
Born in Norwich in June of 1944, Mary was the daughter of Fred H. and Birdella (Breed) Eicke. She grew up in Norwich, attended the Norwich schools and was a 1964 graduate of the Norwich High School. In her early years, while in Norwich, Mary worked in the family business, Eicke’s Restaurant. She was a lady who enjoyed people, kept her needs simple and liked the simple life. After moving to Lisle, where she had lived for the past 30 years, she had been employed at several area businesses.
Mary is survived by her sister, Shirley Burton of Norwich, and her brother, Stanley Eicke and wife Nancy of Sweetwater, Tenn., and by several nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services for Mary will be held at the convenience of the family, with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
