NORWICH – A memorial service will be held at the Cassville Baptist Church at 5 p.m. Aug. 5 for Jacqueline (Jackie) Jones nee Thorpe, who passed away on May 16, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.
Jackie Thorpe was born Feb. 24, 1944 in Norwich. She graduated from Norwich High School in 1962 and married Alan Jones of Whitesboro, who predeceased her, in 1965. She lived in and around the Utica area since leaving Norwich in 1965.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey David of Unadilla Forks; a brother, Jeffrey Thorpe and wife Jennifer of Virginia; and a sister Barbara Bookholt and John of Florida. There are several nieces and nephews as well.
