NORWICH – Harry J. Prosser, 71, of Andes, a former longtime Norwich resident, passed away Tuesday, Aug 19, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.
The son of the late Juan and Myrtle (Clark) Prosser, he was born Oct 15, 1936 in New Berlin, later living for a number of years in Norwich, where he was a textile cutter at the former Champion Products knitting mill, retiring after 35-years, there, moving to Andes 23 years ago.
Harry derived much pleasure from playing his guitar, dancing, traveling and family gatherings.
Surviving are his companion of 23 years, Edith E. Peck, Andes; his children, Walter and Cindy Prosser, Norman (Anna) Prosser, Anna (Dale) Nelson, Tim (Lila) Prosser, Kathy (Ronald) Diefendbacher, Richard (Tammy) Head, Corey (Lynn) Prosser, Edith, Amasa, William, Lenora, Richard, and Peter Peck.; many grand and great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Dart.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (McCall) Prosser; four children, Randy and Phillip Prosser, John and Hildreth Peck; two grandchildren; two brothers and a sister.
Friends are invited to call at noon Friday at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi, where funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm by the Rev. Olah Kubik, with burial following in Andes Rural Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Andes Fire Hall.
Memorial contributions to Andes Emergency Squad will be appreciated.
