SOUTH NEW BERLIN – Edla “Nana” Meyers, 87, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 13, 2006, at the New York State Veterans’ Home in Oxford.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard G. Meyers; her parents, Howard and Marjorie; sister, Vonda; and brother, Carl. Nana is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Lawrence Raley; and son, Larry Meyers; grandchildren, Kevin Raley, Lynae Savory, Marty and Todd Meyers; two great-grandchildren, Larry Raley and Madison Meyers; her favorite uncle, J. Alden Benson; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a retired employee of Scintilla-Dendix Corp., Sidney.
Memorial services will be held at noon Wednesday at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, with Rev. Kenneth H. Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin on Thursday at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
