McDONOUGH – Michael J. Liscio Jr., 66, of McDonough, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.
Born in Somerville, N.J. on March 20, 1942, Michael was a son of the late Michael J. Liscio, Sr., and Philomena Sarno Liscio. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. For several years, he was a self-employed contractor and owned and operated Maven Services in Bridgewater, N.J.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Liscio, of McDonough; brothers, Vincent Liscio of N.J. and Carmine Liscio of Illinois; a sister, Margaret Peterson of N.J.; nieces, Deborah Frank of Martinez, Calif. and Cynthia Mialki of Midland, Mich.; and nephews, Michael Liscio of Illinois and Carl Peterson of Las Vegas, Nev. He also leaves behind 12 great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Saturday,with Reverend Alcuin Coyle, OFM, as celebrant. There will be no prior calling hours.
