NORWICH – Doris McInerney, 89, formerly of Norwich, died Sept. 12, 2008 in Boynton Beach, Fla.
She was born in Utica on April 29, 1919, married on July 20, 1946 to Bernard McInerney at St. Paul’s Church in Norwich, retired from Norwich Pharmacal & moved to Florida in 1977. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard, in 1995. A memorial service was held at St. Mark’s Church, Fla., where she was a member.
Surviving is her brother, Ret. Col. Arthur Palmer of Fort Worth, Texas; nieces: Mabel Silliman, Deansboro, Nancy Ferree, Omaha, Neb., Col. Carol Zieres, Safety Harbor, Fla., Margaret Fleming, Norwich; nephews: Thomas Rowe & Vincent McInerney, Norwich, William Zieres, Madison, William Rowe, Raleigh, N.C. & Kevin McInerney, Riceville, Tenn.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21 with Father Douglas Cunningham and Pastor Donald Reese officiating at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Norwich.
