OXFORD – Roy G. Clark-Pfleger, 67, of Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 8, 2008 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich.
He was born on Feb. 26, 1941, in Brooklyn, the son of the late Roy D. and Lillian (Hoyt) Pfleger. On Feb. 5, 1977, he married Lauralyn Clark, who survives.
Besides his wife, Lauralyn, he is survived by his sons, Roy V. Pfleger and Clifford L. Pfleger both of Port Jefferson; his brother Michael Ray of Binghamton; his sister, Georgina Turner of Holland Patent; and his grandchildren, Roy V. Pfleger II, Alexandria M. Pfleger, Kayla M. Pfleger, Clifford J. Pfleger and Ashley R. Pfleger, all of Port Jefferson.
Roy was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Lebanon Crisis. He was a member and past master of Oxford Lodge #175 F& AM. He had operated Service Maximus with his partner, Tim Rohn, in Oxford for several years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was a great story teller and performed at The Night Eagle. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A gathering of remembrance will be held at the Chapel of the United Church of Oxford, 27 Main St. Oxford at 3 p.m. Sunday.
