Glenn Predmore


SOUTH OTSELIC – Glenn C. Predmore, 68, of Great Bend, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 14, 2008 in the Carthage Area Hospital.
The son of Russell and Tillie (Magee) Predmore, Glenn was born in Homer and moved to South Otselic in 1947, growing up there and attending the local schools. Shortly after his high school graduation, Glenn joined the U.S. Army and served his country through two tours of duty in Viet Nam. In both his private and professional life, Glenn was an electronics wizard. While serving in Viet Nam, he pursued his interest in radio and operated a radio station there. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to South Otselic where he owned and operated an electronic repair shop. In 1986, Glenn moved to Fort Drum, then relocated to Great Bend in 1997. All together, he was employed by the federal government for over 30 years. Looking forward to his retirement in Jan. of 2009, Glenn had plans for starting a radio station in his own home in Great Bend.
On July 15, 2006, in Great Bend, Glenn married Phyllis Snyder. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Predmore of Great Bend; his children: Glenda Foulds and husband Stan of Norwich, Jackie Predmore of Fresno, Calif., Jody Predmore of Watertown, Craig Predmore of Indiana; his step-son, Peter LaBrake of Great Bend; and his brothers: LeRoy Predmore and wife Wanda of South Otselic, and Mervin Predmore of Norwich. Glenn is also survived by his grandchildren: Brandon, Joshua, Ashley, and Tyier Founds, and Allie, Haley, and Katlyn Predmore. He was predeceased by his brother, Russell, and grandson, Aaron Foulds.
Funeral services for Glenn will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Taylor, pastor of St. Andrew's Church of New Berlin, will officiate. Interment with full military rites will follow in the Valley View Cemetery of South Otselic. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
