NORWICH – Flora S. Loscavio, 90, formerly of Hickory Street, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford.
Born in Smyrna on July 28, 1918, Flora was the daughter of William and Lillian (Bassett) Coons. She had worked at several jobs locally including the schools and hospital. She was best known as a self-employed caterer. She was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Church.
On Oct. 18, 1947, in the Rectory of St. Bartholomew’s, Flora married James T. Loscavio who died on Jan. 16, 2001. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Charlotte and Ed Morano, Joseph and Donna Loscavio, and Catherine Loscavio, all of Norwich; her grandchildren, Ivy and Jay Loscavio, Melissa Berry and Scott Morano; several great grandchildren; and a brother, John Coons and wife Janice of Hampton, Va. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty, and two brothers, Ray and Fay.
Flora was a long-time member of the Business and Professional Women of Norwich. 
In keeping with Flora’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
