ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Veronica E. Wallace, 77, formerly of Sherburne, passed away Friday, Aug.18, 2006 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, she was a daughter of Thomas and Agnes Anderson Atwater. She was the wife of James H. Wallace who died in 2000. Veronica had worked for the New York City Transit Authority until her retirement. She had resided in Sherburne from 1987 until moving to Elizabethtown in 2002.
Mrs. Wallace attended the Alliance Church of Elizabethtown where she was actively involved in the prayer chain. While residing in Sherburne, she had been a member of the Faith Baptist Tabernacle. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Surviving are a daughter, Amy Lustri of Brooklyn; three sons, Gary Wallace of Rheems, Pa.; Michael Wallace of Brooklyn, and Jeff Wallace of Elizabethtown, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Agnes Maryatt of Long Island.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alliance Church, 425 Cloverleaf Rd., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
