NORWICH – Shirley A. Bresee, 61, of Norwich, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 25, 2008 in her home.
She was born in Norwich in February of 1947, was a graduate of he Norwich High School and had worked in the high school cafeteria for 18 years. Shirley was a member of the Norwich Fire Department Auxiliary and had made her home for many years in the Peacock Manor Apartments in Norwich.
Shirley is survived by her long time friend for over 35 years, Ken Bowie of Norwich. She is also survived by her brother McClellan Bresee and his wife Kay of Newport News, Va., plus several nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Mac and Mabel Bresee and her brother, Allan Bresee.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Hale, pastor of the Broad Street United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. on Friday at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
