EARLVILLE – Charles “Chuck” Blinebry, 76, of West Main St., passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Aug. 25, 2006 with his family at his side.
He was born Sept. 19, 1929 in Hamilton, a son of Albert and Evelyn Chesebro Blinebry. He had attended Hamilton Central School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in the Korean Conflict. Chuck was a self-employed independent contractor most of his life. On July 18, 1959, he was married to Charlotte Fox who predeceased him on Feb. 3, 1987. He married Kathleen McEligot on January 16, 1993 in Earlville.
Chuck was a life member of the Earlville American Legion Post #236 and a former member of the Earlville Village Board.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen; four sons Allen (Susan) of Hamilton; Douglas (Dawn) of Hubbardsville; Bernard (Shelly) of South Hamilton; Berton (Lori) of Hannibal; five daughters, Vicki (Dennis) Johnson of Brookfield; Jackie (Brian) Holt of Earlville; Brenda (Chuck) Bouck of Syracuse; Roxanne (Danny) Lucero of Eaarlville; Mary (Matt) McEligot of Earlville; two step-sons, Jason Diamond of Auburn and George Diamond of Earlville; a brother, Willard Blinebry of North Norwich; a sister, Dorothy Smith of North Norwich; 28 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville followed by burial with military rites in the Graham Cemetery, Hubbardsville.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
