NORWICH – Catherine A. LoGerfo, 79, of Norwich, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, March 8, 2009 at the Gilmour Residential Health Care Facility.
Born April 10, 1929 in Queens, Catherine was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Puccino) LoGerfo. After attending school in Queens, she worked at Lord and Taylor in New York City and in various office jobs, before working with Dr. Hutchinson, a cardiac surgeon at St. Luke’s for eight years. She then cared for her mother full time before joining the Westin Bonaventure in Californiaas secretary to the credit manager. She then returned to New York City before coming to Norwich in 1993. Catherine was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Church.
Catherine is survived by her daughter Janet Stephan and her husband Jack of Texas, a sister-in-law, Irene LoGerfo of Oxford, and a sister Mary Hudor and her husband John of Florida.  Also surviving are her grandchildren Mary, Julia, Luke and Justin Stephan and her nieces and nephews David, Richard, Mark and Stephen Logerfo, Karin Delsignore and Michelle Cryan.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew’s Church, with Rev. Douglas Cunningham, pastor, officiating. Friends are invited to call at St. Bartholomew’s on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
