GREENE – Inez Pollard, 88, of Greene, passed away on June 23, 2009 at Valley View Manor, Norwich after a brief illness.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alvin and Lucy Veral (Fritts) Hill; and by brother, Clifford “Bud” Hill. Inez is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harry R. Pollard Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, James and Janice Pollard; daughter Nancy Woodcock; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Auwarter; several nieces and nephews.
Inez worked at Raymond Corporation in Greene for over 39 years. She loved travelling. She was an avid bowler and golfer. Inez served on the Board of Directors of NYS and local bowling associations. She was a delegate to the National Bowling Convention. Inez was a charter member of Greene BPW.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30 at Zion Episcopal Church, Greene. The Very Rev. Ralph E. Osborne Rector will officiate. Burial will be in Warn-Tenbroeck Cemetery, Brisben.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church undercroft.
