BAINBRIDGE – Christopher Gonzalez, 29, of Bainbridge, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2014.
Born in Sidney in March of 1984, Christopher attended the Bainbridge NY schools for a time but received most of his education at the Atlantic Highland School and Red Bank Middle school in Monmouth County, NJ. During his school years, he was active in football, baseball, and roller blade hockey. He was a communicant of Saint Veronica's Catholic Church.His favorite time of the year was vacationing with his family and friends at the beach on the Outer Banks, NC. Christopher’s ambition was to become a motor cross bike rider, since he was a great fan of the sport. While living in the Bainbridge area, Christopher worked for a time for the Norwich Dunkin Donuts.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Debra Simpkin Dello and husband John of Bainbridge; his father, Charles Gonzalez and wife Joanne of Chester, VA; and his children: Alyssa, Kayleigh, and Madison. Also surviving are his siblings: Jonathan Gonzalez, Bridget-Ann Shelmet, and Charles R.Gonzalez III, Crystal, Lisa, Mathew, Kaitlyn and Adam Simpkin; and his grandfather, Deliz Gonzalez; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
