LEONARD W. BROWN
SHERBURNE – Leonard W. “Brownie” Brown, 70, of Blanding Rd., passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
He was born June 5, 1943 in Waterville, a son of Warren C. and Virginia Eastman Brown and received his education in the Poolville school. On December 19, 1987, he married Colleen M. Collins in Smyrna. Brownie was an over-the-road truck driver who owned and operated L.W. Brown Trucking Co. of Sherburne.
Surviving are his wife, Colleen; his father, Warren Brown of Sherburne; his mother-in-law, Gloria M. Collins of Sherburne; his children, Shannon and Stephanie Brown of Waxhaw, NC; Stephen and Kathy Brown of Pickens SC; Jessica Brown of Granville, OH; Karen and George Getman of Clark Mills; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine Burnham and Mike Backo of Tully; Charlotte and Gary Ayers of Dryden; brother and sisters-in-law, Charles and Jean Brown of Sherburne; his grandchildren, Sean, Sarah, Sawyer, Kaitlyn, Baylee, Cheyanne, Karson, Makalyn, Jordan, Katie and Alex; one great-grandchild, Madelyn; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Virginia Brown, and his father-in-law, James Collins.
In keeping with his wishes, there are no services or calling hours.
Interment is private at the convenience of his family.
