WALTON – Juanita Yarnes Robinson died August 29, 2014. She was born on the Constable farm in Walton, New York, August 14, 1929, to Richard H. and Juanita Constable Yarnes. A graduate of Walton High School, Juanita worked in the community where she met and later married Herbert M. Robinson in the spring of 1954. The couple moved to Norwich, NY, where they raised their four children. Throughout her life, Juanita was a devoted member of the Episcopal church. She cherished her time with her family and friends, and had a special gift for bringing comfort to those around her.
Juanita was predeceased by her husband, Herbert, and survived by son Herbert M. Robinson III of Lincoln City, OR, son James Andrew Robinson (daughter-in-law Audrey and grandsons Wesley James and Dillon Joel) of Norwich, daughter Janine Robinson of Saratoga Springs, and daughter Lynne Robinson (son-in-law C. Howard McNeely and grandson C. Addison McNeely) of Nashville, TN. Juanita was also predeceased by her parents, sisters Evelyn Matthews and Dawn Gorton, and brother Gail Yarnes, and is survived by sisters Eleanor Donnelly and Faye Yarnes and brother Richard C. Yarnes as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held at the Walton Cemetery on Monday, September 1, at 11a.m., a luncheon to follow. Arrangements are with CH Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney, NY. Condolences to the family may be made online by visiting www.landersfh.com.
