GORDON S. “PETE” McLEAN
GREENE – Gordon S. “Pete” McLean of Greene, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 6, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Winifred McLean and by an older brother, Frank; step-father, Nick Shipton. He is survived by his three children, Stanley H. McLean of Greene, Steven R. and Betsy McLean of Virginia and Susan and Rudy Johnson of Stuart, FL; wife and companion, Patricia McLean and her daughters, Bridget and Lindsey; grandchildren, Amy Puglisi, Kate and Matthew McLean and many great grandchildren and life-long friends. Pete was an entrepreneur who started the Genegantslet Golf Course in 1954. As the business grew, his son Stanley began to help him run the business. He loved a hard days work and always found mowing on his course or having a drink with this friends at the bar. He loved the outdoors and took many hunting trips to Alaska with his good friend, John.
