LAWRENCE S. ROGERS
OXFORD – Lawrence S. Rogers, 81, of Oxford passed away Saturday November 1, 2014 at the Norwich Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
He was born February 21, 1933 in Garrattsville, the son of Peter and Grace (Allen) Rogers. He was a self-employed handyman doing repairs on many homes in the area. He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles.
Lawrence is survived by his sisters, Ida Bard, Alice Hubbard, Doris Townsend, Arlene Baggs and his brother, Wayne Rogers and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters, Bernice Russell, Sarah Jackson, Florence Garner, Jeanette Crenshaw, and Maxine Gregory and by his brothers, Earl, Monroe, Peter and Howard Rogers. In addition, Lawrence was predeceased by his companion, Caroline Kelsey.
Funeral Services for Lawrence will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at noon at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home in Edmeston with Pastor Brian Conover officiating. Burial will follow at Edmeston Union Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
