BERNICE SALISBURY
SOUTH NEW BERLIN – Bernice “Bernie” Salisbury, 72 yrs. old of South New Berlin, NY passed away on November 3, 2014 at her home.
She was born on April 9, 1942 in West Burlington, NY the daughter of Lewis & Fairy (Brownell) Backus. Her childhood was spent in the Cherry Valley and New Berlin areas where she attended New Berlin Central School. On February 8, 1958 she married William Leroy Salisbury who predeceased her on July 20, 2009.
She is survived by one son; Harold A. Salisbury of South New Berlin, NY; grandchildren; Melissa Hose, Amanda & Melinda Salisbury and great grandchildren; Justice Salisbury, Steven Baker III and Kathleen Joy. She is also survived by her sisters; Bertha Russell of Stamford, NY and Hilda Christian of New Berlin, NY and her brother, Howard Backus of Brooksville, Fl.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, South New Berlin, NY with Pastor Kurt Funke officiating.
Memorial Donations may be made to the South New Berlin Emergency Squad.
