PITTSFIELD – Beatrice E. Rogers, 66 years old, of the town of Pittsfield, passed away Aug. 13, 2009.
She was born April 26, 1943 in Fort Riley, Kansas, the son of Ralph A. & Lorena D. (Cole) Smith. She spent his childhood in the Norwich area and attended the local schools.
In 1979, she married Charles Rogers in Norwich. She had worked as an assembly line worker at Unison in Norwich.
Beatrice is survived by three sisters: Barbara Marko of South Carolina, Joyce Newkirk of Ulster Park, and Kathleen Lloyd of New Berlin; two brothers: Steve Whitehead of New Berlin and Richard Lawrence of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews and one special nephew, Ronnie Hamic Jr., who lived and assisted with his aunt’s home care. She was predeceased by a brother. Jerry Van Pelt.
A private service will be held at the family’s convenience.
