CAROL G. JONES
Carol G. Jones passed peacefully on January 4, 2015 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her son Ronald S. Jones (Jeri), son Michael D. Jones (Debbie), daughter Laura C. Zellner (David); grandchildren Tessa M. Denaro (Paul), Charlie G. Jones, Carter M. Jones, Megan E. Brooks (Dustin) and Jacob W. Zellner; great-grandchildren Isabella, Natalie and Matthew. Carol is also survived by her sister, Judith G. Brien, as well as nieces and nephews and their families, in Colorado and Washington. Carol was predeceased by her daughter Caroline A. Jones.
Carol graduated from St. Catherine’s School and Syracuse University. She was a BOCES retiree and also previously employed as a respite care provider, sales associate, bank teller, teacher’s aide and art teacher. She was treasurer of the Klee House, Inc. and Christ Church in Guilford. She was a member of Town and Country Garden Club of Norwich, and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bainbridge.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 2p.m., at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Norwich. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice & Palliative Care of Chenango County. Their phenomenal compassionate care allowed Carol to be home with family and friends during her final days.
