NORWICH – Shawn Doolittle, 37, of Plymouth Street, Norwich, passed away at his home early Thursday morning, Sept. 28, 2006, after a long illness.
The son of Jerry and Kathleen (Irving) Doolittle, Shawn was born Feb. 17, 1969, in Cornwell. He was a graduate of Pine Bush High School in Pine Bush. A forklift operator by trade, Shawn was employed by Baillie Lumber of Smyrna prior to becoming disabled. He was a man who loved most things outdoors, including camping, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He especially enjoyed growing flowers, and loved Cape Cod.
Shawn and Amy Darling were married in Norwich on July 20, 2002. Shawn is survived by his wife, Amy Darling Doolittle of Norwich; his children, Chelsea Doolittle and Alexis Smith of Norwich; his mother, Kathleen Doolittle, and sister, Tara Doolittle, both of Pine Bush, and by a sister-in-law and two nieces. Shawn was predeceased by his father, Jerry Doolittle.
Funeral services for Shawn will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Stopford, pastor of the Beaver Meadow Christian Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cole Hill Cemetery of Beaver Meadow. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
