UTICA – Mary Geraldine O’Connor, 88, a Utica resident for more than 60 years, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009 at the Pearl and Everett Gilmour Healthcare Facility, Norwich, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born April 4, 1921 in Sherburne, a daughter of Dennis J. and Teresa Cunningham O’Connor. She had a lengthy career at the Oneida National Bank & Trust Company in Utica, and was retired from Fleet Bank. Miss O’Connor was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church in Utica.
Survivors include two nieces, Barbara King Lord, Hastings-on-Hudson, and Lois K. Draina, Moscow, Pa.; a nephew, Michael J. O’Connor, Chantilly, Va.; several great-nieces and great-nephews; a great-great-nephew and several cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lois O’Connor King and James R. O’Connor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Malachy’s Church, Sherburne, followed by interment in St. Malachy’s Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
