ANN F. FRANKLIN
ZEPHYRHILLS, FL – Ann F. Franklin, 86, of Zephyrhills, FL passed peacefully on Thursday January 8, 2015 at the Gulfside Hospice of Pasco County in Zephyrhills after a long illness.
She was born on September 16th, 1928 in Rome NY to the late Peter and Frances Thomas. She was one of six children, her siblings being, Donald, Kenneth, James, Peter and Alice.
Ann was a longtime resident of the Sherburne and Norwich NY area. She was best known as one of the local “Rough and Tough” bartenders. She also worked at Rea-D-Pack Foods Inc. in North Norwich for several years.
In January 1990 Ann decided to retire to Zephyrhills to be closer to her son Roger where she has spent the last 25 years. For those who have had the pleasure of meeting her know that she was a fun loving, boisterous woman like no other. Laughter was in big supply when she was around. Entertaining the grandkids was always what she loved to do.
She is survived by her son Roger D. Franklin of Zephyrhills, her granddaughter Billie Sue Nolan (Phil) of Deland Fl, 3 great grandchildren, Britany Weaver of Newark NY, Collin and Aubrie Nolan of Deland Fl, and a great-great-grandson Vincente Dercola of Newark NY.
The family will be having a service on Saturday January 24th, 2015 at the First Presbytarian Church at 3 p.m. in Zephyrhills. In the spring Ann will be laid to rest in the West Hill Cemetary in Sherburne NY.
