SHERBURNE – Harold Rouse, 81, of Knapp St., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009 at his home.
He was born Sept. 30, 1927 at Harlem Hospital in New York City, a son of William and Minnie Green Rouse. He was a resident of the Broome Developmental Center in Binghamton, where he met his life long friend, Dina Rich in 1976. They both moved to Springbrook Sherburne IRA in 2004 where they enjoyed their retirement together until Dina passed away in 2008. Harold had many interests such as monster trucks, the outdoors, shopping and listening to music. He always had a way of making everyone around him smile. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his family, John, Theresa, George, Thomas and Ernie, as well as many friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Interment will be in the Sherburne Quarter Cemetery where he will be resting eternally with his friends Dina Rich and George Lliteras.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
