CAROLYN ELAINE PARRY
NEW BERLIN – Carolyn Elaine Parry, 79 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away March 9, 2015 at the Norwich Rehabilitation Center, after a battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
She was born on April 8, 1935 in Norwich, NY the daughter of Leslie V. and Lena (Binelli) Cline.
Carolyn was a graduate of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic School’s Class of 1949 and of Norwich High School’s class of 1953.
In 1955 she married Michael F. Rotundo who predeceased her in 1975. She later married Harold Parry, Jr. who passed away in 2009.
She was also predeceased by her son, Michael L. Rotundo in 2006.
For many years Carolyn was employed by the Gelder Medical Group in Sidney, NY and later by Richard Hood, M.D., of New Berlin, NY. After retirement, she volunteered at New Berlin Family Practice for several years.
Carolyn enjoyed being outdoors; taking walks with her recently deceased poodle Buddy, and working in her beautiful flower and rock gardens. She was a devoted wife, mother, and child to all in her family.
Carolyn is survived by one son, James E. Rotundo and daughters-in-law, Mary (Foster) Rotundo and Deb (Lent) Rotundo; 3 step sons, Donn (Sue), Ron (Megan), Jon (Trudy) and step daughter Karol. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Holly Goddard, Kendra Sifford, Justin Rotundo and Rebecca, Catherine, Charles and Elaina Sasso as well as several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service for the family and friends will be held at a later date.
Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
