ROSALIE BENENATI RODIQUENZI
WARWICK, NY – Rosalie Benenati Rodiquenzi, 96, of Warwick, NY passed away peacefully at home on April 11, 2015.
Born in Norwich, NY on June 21, 1918, Rosalie was the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Paino) Benenati. She graduated Norwich High School in 1936. She married Anthony "Regan" Rodiquenzi on June 19, 1948, who predeceased her. She attended Orange County Community College for her associates in nursing and later got her BS. She worked at the Spring Valley School District and retired from the Ramapost School District in Rockland Co.
She is predeceased by her brother Joseph, sister Kate and brother Tom. Rosalie is survived by a brother Frank and his wife Dorothy, and their five children: Steven (Mary Jane), John, Frank (Nicole), David (Michelle) and Maribeth; her brother Tom’s wife, Vivian and their 3 children, Paul, Michael (Lynette) and Barbara (Sean McCutcheon); and several great nieces and nephews.
Rosalie lived her life independently as she wanted up until the last couple of months. She enjoyed her friends and neighbors immensely and spent her time traveling, playing bridge, knitting and doing needle work. She will be missed dearly.
She was active in her community as a member of St. Stephen's Parish and a Sodality charter member, Grand Regent for Catholic Daughters, VFW auxiliary member, American Legion auxiliary member and was on the board of OCCC.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 16th, from 4-7 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Stephens Church, Warwick, NY. Burial will follow mass at St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
