Ken found the love of his life with Margaret (Brazee) Manwarren, and they shared a wonderful life for over 45 years until her death in 2007. Ken had a lot of faith and enjoyed watching Reverends Charles Stanley and Joel Osteen on television every Sunday morning.
Ken worked at the Tracy Baking Company in Norwich and continued with Victory Markerts for 24 years. He enjoyed his retirement with keeping up his home, garden, and mowing his large lawn. He followed most sporting events and really liked “Let’s Make A Deal” on television. Ken loved his whole extended family, and Margaret’s family too. He and Margaret loved to go fishing and had a camp at Plymouth Reservoir for many years. They also enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with friends and family. His and Margaret’s last dog, Ginger, brought him a lot of joy and companionship after Margaret’s death. Ken lived a good and full life, and although he dealt with many health issues continuously, he always kept his sense of humor, and he never gave up hope. He was a fighter till the end. He is now at peace….Praise the Lord!
In lieu of flowers, Ken would be glad if you donated to your favorite charity. His family is forever grateful to Kevin Steckline RPA-C (his Primary Care Giver) and staff, and to Dr. Joseph and all the nurses and aides on 3rd Floor and ICU 9 (UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital) for the care given him and kindness to his family.
Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, from 1-3 pm with a service following at 3pm. His nephew, Robert Decker, Lay Minister at the South New Berlin Baptist Church will officiate.
Until we meet again…
