RUTH A. BEESMER
NORWICH: Ruth A. Beesmer, 90, of County Rt. 34, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at UHS/Chenango Memorial Hospital RHCF in Norwich.
Ruth was born June 8, 1925 in Columbus, NY, a daughter of Frank and Blanche Horton Beesmer. She received her early education in the North Norwich school and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. She was a bookkeeper at Proctor & Gamble (Norwich-Eaton Pharmaceuticals) for 35 years until her retirement. Ruth enjoyed needlework, knitting and crocheting, and was an avid reader. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sherburne.
Surviving are her sister, Margaret Foster of Smyrna; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her life partner, Frank Muhlfeld in 1986; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Marilyn Beesmer, Robert and Marie Beesmer; and a brother-in-law, Charles Foster.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by burial in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
There are no calling hours.
