CHARLES R. BROWN
GREENE – Charles R. Brown, 87 formerly of Greene passed away on August 6, 2015 at Cortland Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 5, 1927 in Norwich a son of the late Rollie and Vida (Freebourne) Brown. He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel L. Brown in 1984.
He is survived by his children, Darney and Deanna Brown of Chenango Forks, Joan and William Cluff of Oxford and Niki Donald of Soldotna, AK. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A special thank you to Dale, Kim and Colt.
He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Contel in Norwich and Greene. He and his wife also operated The Fern Shoppe in Greene for many years. He enjoy his camp for many years.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Kennedy Funeral Home, 21 N. Chenango St. Greene. Burial will follow in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene.
